I have loved Cripps Barn ever since my best friend held her wedding reception there back in 2010. The beautiful rustic barn with exposed beams and brick, and the fabulous large windows, is the perfect backdrop for a country style wedding, and that’s exactly why Jack and Chloe chose the venue for their special day.
Chloe and Jack filled the barn with the most beautiful country garden flowers. On the tables they displayed jars of flowers on oak slices with pretty vintage table name cards, the large fireplace was adorned with a fabulous floral display and pillar candles, and the pièce de résistance was the amazing large floral globe suspended from the middle of the barn – incredible! The pretty flowers also feature in Chloe’s bridal bouquet. Filled with agapanthus, ranunculus, Nigella and lisianthus, it looks beautiful against her elegant white Sottero and Midgley wedding dress, Sandrina.
Chloe wore her sensational embroidered lace and tulle wedding dress with a pair of beautiful peep toe Rachel Simpson shoes, Hazel, with pretty, delicate beaded embellishment. To finish her bridal look, Chloe chose a chapel length veil for a traditional look.
To inject a little fun into their country wedding, Chloe arrived at Cripps Barn in a cute Indian Ambassador car, which is reminiscent of a Morris Minor from the outside but has an incredible patterned red and gold interior. Too add to the look, the car bumpers are festooned with flowers.
The whole wedding is filled with such attention to detail, fun and love. Grab a cuppa on this Monday morning, and enjoy these delightful pictures taken by Geoff Kirby Photography.
Country Wedding Theme
“Jack and I met in a nightclub in our first year of university, and realised we were both studying on the same course. We stayed best friends for the next four years of uni and ended up living together in our final year. Eventually we got together – which surprised nobody!
