Company Name: Francesca Secolonovo Photography

Location / Coverage: I cover London, UK, Europe and all International Destinations.

How did the business get started and who works at Francesca Secolonovo Photography?

Well, I have actually just started out and I am looking to expand my business. It all started out when my friend saw my Facebook post saying I would like to give wedding photography ago. I have had a massive passion for photography for as long as I can remember and for the past few years I concentrated on more fashion/ beauty projects. Recently I decided to change course and try to expand my creativity in something I had not done before. My friend had faith in me and my passion, and they flew me out to Italy to get the job done! It was an amazing experience.

Had you always wanted to be a photographer?

I have always loved photography but never thought I could make a hobby/passion into an occupation, especially when there are so many aspects to photography. It took me a while to grasp that wedding photography was the way forward for me.

Can you remember how old you were when you took your first picture? What was it of?

I can’t remember the actual picture but I think I was around 8, and I had this really old school point and shoot 35mm film camera. I loved that camera, and took some really amazing pictures.

Which areas of the UK do you cover?

I will travel anywhere. If it’s far from London I would just expect my travel expenses paid for, but I love to travel.

What do you feel sets you apart from other wedding photographers?

Every photographer has passion for what they do, but my passion drives me to create the very best image I can. I am a perfectionist and find it hard to pull myself away from the computer when editing images; I could do it all day! I like to get to know people and I think this is important as I want the couple to be themselves in front of me and my camera. I want to capture the essence of the couple, not something that it staged and emotionless.

How would you describe your photography style?

I am discreet and unobtrusive. I would say my photography has a combination of photojournalism, creativeness, with an editorial feel. I love to be in the background observing, with people creating moments right before my eyes. I feel honoured to be able to capture these private moments and make them into lifetime memories the bride and groom can then re-live over and over again through my images.

What packages do you offer and what are your rates?

I want to tell a story with my images and therefore I believe it’s important for me to be there from the bridal preparations until the very end! I offer unlimited photography on the day of the wedding. More details can be found on my website.

Do you have a favourite picture that you have taken (If you can choose!)?

This one…

What is your top tip for choosing a wedding photographer?

I would definitely say go for a photographer whose style you really like, don’t go for a photographer based on price. Your wedding is a one chance opportunity and you don’t want to look back at your wedding pictures thinking you should have spent that little bit more on the photographer you really wanted.

Random question… What is your favourite drink?

I love to juice every morning, so it has to be my super green juice.
