What does Weddingtableplans.com do?
We love working closely with customers, translating their aspirations into a perfect wedding table plan design. We create stunning bespoke table plans and coordinating wedding stationery, ensuring each customer’s desired theme and personality is reflected at their wedding breakfast.
Who works at Weddingtableplans.com and what are your roles?
Weddingtableplans.com is a small team dedicated to perfection. My role is to liaise closely with customers, from receipt of order through to dispatch, giving customers invaluable peace of mind. Being responsible for the creativity, I also update the website with new designs, gallery images and customer testimonials.
Being fortunate enough to share premises with my husband’s exhibition design business, weddingtableplans.com oversees completion of each order ‘in-house’, from start to finish, with a dedicated production team managing the print, hand finishing and packaging.
How did Weddingtableplans.com come about and how long has the company been running?
Weddingtableplans.com evolved some years after setting up an exhibition design business. It was the decade when the majority of our friends and family were getting married, and with our design background and in-house production equipment we were able to supply table plans for their weddings.
After a short career break to have children, I returned to work setting up a basic website for weddingtableplans.com, and continued to work within the exhibition business until I had established a decent range of table plan designs and was achieving regular orders.
Four years on we have a diverse portfolio of designs, a comprehensive website and, I am proud to say, hundreds of satisfied customers.
Describe your workshop.
Due to the nature of the space required for exhibition stand build and large format print we have large premises, but weddingtableplans.com operates from a cosy corner of the office area which I have adorned with floral bunting and vintage frames to make it my own zone of creativity! The plans are printed on our large format printers, laminated, hand finished, framed, checked and packaged in the extensive production area.
Have you always been creative?
Yes. My happiest days at school were sat in the art room! The graphic design element of my University placement gave me the opportunity to revisit my artistic flair and ignite a love of typography.
What other products and services does Weddingtableplans.com offer apart from table plans?
We offer coordinating stationery with all of our table plan designs: Menus, Table Name Cards, Guest Name Cards, Order of Service, Invitations, and Thank You Cards. We can adapt items to suit your requirements with our flexible design service, so if you envisage your stationery to be a customised size, it’s all possible; just ask.
In addition to stationery, with our in-house large format production team, we can also produce photo boards, memory boards for guests to sign, and pull up banners to display at the entrance to your wedding.
Do you offer a bespoke design service?
We list a fabulous range of standard designs on the website and, when ordered, each one requires complimentary customisation. Each plan is personalised, colour matched, and tables adjusted to suit a required table layout.
In terms of creating bespoke designs, this is our speciality. We love a challenge and embrace the responsibility of creating a unique theme, totally personal to the customer, that will provide a wonderful focal point on the day and double up as the perfect keepsake. There are no limits or rules, the only restriction is your imagination.
How do you create bespoke table plans for each of your couples? What’s involved in the planning?
Planning a bespoke styled table plan involves a detailed discussion with the couple to ascertain styling for their big day i.e. party size, wedding colours, styling, flowers etc. A mood board is then compiled and, once styling is agreed, a ‘skeleton’ of the table plan design is formed incorporating the required table layout, table names and colours.
This way of working in advance gives both myself and the customer complete peace of mind. With the styling defined I simply add the confirmed guest list a couple of weeks prior to the wedding and provide a final proof, before putting the order into production. This stress free approach is applied to all orders.
Do you have a favourite table plan that Weddingtableplans.com has made?
Oooh tricky one; it depends what mood I am in!
I totally embrace the romance of our photo plans, especially the theme of past family weddings with the year of the weddings as the table names. It’s a great way of bringing two families together and works really well if you have some vintage sepias in the mix with modern wedding photographs. This style of plan doubles up as the perfect keepsake.
For Facebook obsessed couples, we have a brand new ‘LoveBook’ table plan – a great way to reflect the fun side of your personalities on the big day!
Random question… Beach or city holidays?
Beach. With 2 daughters, aged 8 and 10, it just has to be the beach.
