And the winner is… Jonny Draper Photography!

Congratulations to Jonny Draper Photography, the winner of our Picture of the Day vote for April. This beautiful picture received the most votes from our readers, and is the fourth picture to go through to the Picture of the Year vote.

Taken at Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire, the picture was the result of Jonny and the couple being prepared to seize the perfect moment. Jonny told us how the picture came about…

“Carly and Ian hadn’t booked their February wedding for the weather, but somebody, somewhere, was smiling on them. The day was stunning; their Champagne reception at Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire was outside (on the 25th February!), and as the daylight started to fade, it looked like we might get lucky with a sunset.

“I mentioned this to Carly and Ian and they were VERY excited. They instructed me to grab them whenever I thought the light was best, even if it meant interrupting their wedding breakfast (I love clients like that – who really care about their photographs and are excited about what we might get as a result of their commitment).

“Unfortunately the moment did come in between courses, but I knew exactly where I wanted them in order to get the shot, so we literally popped outside for 2 minutes and the result is what you see!”
