Creating a picnic wedding is a fantastic idea for summer weddings; everyone loves eating alfresco. If you are having your wedding reception at a venue that has outside space that you can use, a picnic wedding would be perfect. Use picnic tables and scatter blankets around for your guests to sit on, have picnic baskets full of lovely food for your guests to dive into and share, and hang balloons, jars of flowers and ribbons in the trees. With the right styling you can create a wonderful, relaxed wedding for you and your guests to enjoy.

Royal wedding receptions follow a fairly standard design – a large canapé reception followed by a smaller, more private dinner for around 120 guests, finishing with dancing and further merriment in the evening.
