A Bohemian Elopement Styled Shoot in Spain

These pictures by Rebecca Goddard of this intimate bohemian elopement styled shoot in Spain are incredible.

Imagine eloping to a deserted beach in Spain to say your ‘I dos’.

Imagine wearing an ethereal wedding dress with a beautiful floral crown, and feeling the sand between your toes.

Imagine the two of you enjoying a delicious picnic style meal, sat watching the sunset.

Imagine no more… this bohemian inspired shoot has it all, and it’s breathtaking. Lucy Bennett of The Boutique Wedding Co explains how the shoot came together…

“In June 2015 I came together with Reel Love Films and Rebecca Goddard Photography to create ‘Young Love Wanderlust’, a romantic and wild depiction of young love inspired by our love of weddings and never dying wanderlust to see the world.

“Beccy and Frances were keen to travel to Spain to create this shoot, and when they approached me they envisioned a wild elopement between two young bohemian lovers on a Spanish cliff top. I have settled on the wild and unknown south west coast of Spain, and was passionate to share my favourite cliff top beaches. Using the settings of surf spot El Palmar and the hill top town of Vejer de la Frontera, we created this beautiful wedding day story of two young lovers preparing to commit to endless love.

“Our wedding day begins with our young bride collecting her wild, romantic bouquet in the hill top village of Vejer de la Frontera. She contemplates love as she walks through the streets of the ancient Moorish town, whilst down at El Palmar our young groom is enjoying his second love, surfing. The young couple elope to a stunning cliff top, later dining on the beach as they watch the sun set.

An Intimate Wedding in Girona

Bride looking out of window before wedding in Girona

Today’s real wedding pictures are from an intimate wedding in Girona, Spain. Laia and Luis wanted a small affair surrounded by their loved ones, enjoying delicious food together. We adore this wedding and its 1930’s styling, which photographers Sublim have captured in all its splendour.

Laia wore her dream wedding dress that makes her look like a Greek Goddess. We love the addition of the statue in the early images, that makes for some really quirky wedding pictures.

“We wanted to create a very intimate and special wedding, surrounded by those who really mean a lot to us. We had a winter wedding in Pontos, Empordà (Girona).

“We commissioned the wedding invitations, and wanted an invitation with a graphic design styled on the 1930’s, with a nice quote from the diary of Noah printed on a ribbon.

“I had a Teresa Helbig wedding dress like a Greek goddess, and shoes by Serena Whithaven. Luis was very elegant in a Tonello suit.

“The wedding was celebrated in the Church of Santa Maria de Vilabertran, an 11th century church enlivened with excellent chamber music by Tu Musica Events who were excellent; it was very emotional.”

A Spanish Inspired Wedding on a Farm

Bride and groom by fence on farm

Today we have another Spanish themed feature – an amazing real wedding on a farm, with a fiesta party theme. This wedding is full of colour and traditional Spanish touches; you are going to be in awe of every detail of this wedding. With ten groomsmen, eight bridesmaids, two flower girls, a tapas bar, a huge colourful bouquet and an eclectic mix of musical instruments, what’s not to love about this Spanish inspired wedding?

“We have a special bond with Spain and our love evolved there, so our connection to the Spanish culture inspired our wedding theme and helped create a celebration which represented our vibrant, passionate and colourful love. My Spanish heritage from Colombia and Matt’s colonial family farm were the perfect pairing for our Fiesta wedding, and a walking procession after our ceremony, authentic Spanish tapas, paella, sangria, tres leches, authentic textiles and a Spanish guitarist were just some of the memories of Spain we included.”

Bride at the Eden Project

A Spanish Themed Wedding Shoot at the Eden Project

Bride at the Eden Project

If you have ever been to the Eden Project you’ll know what an amazing place it is, but did you know you can get married there? What an amazing venue for a wedding!

Today’s styled wedding shoot is set in the Mediterranean biome at the Eden project and has a Spanish theme. With gorgeous tones of orange and blue, an incredible wedding cake inspired by Antonio Gaudi, and pretty lace fan details, Jenny Wren and Hazel Parsons have styled a really beautiful wedding shoot for you to feast your eyes on…

“This Spanish themed wedding shoot was held in the iconic Eden Project, and was a lot of fun to style! The surroundings of the Mediterranean biome gave me lots of inspiration and I knew big bold colours would be key to this look. The bright bursts of colour from the exotic flowers and rich green of the plantation were a stunning backdrop.

“The chunky wooden tables were dressed with delicate lace cloths, which meant some of the natural wood was left exposed. I then introduced the colour palette of cobalt blue and fiery orange, with the beautiful blue wine glasses giving a pop of colour and working well as a contrast to the bright orange fan wedding favours.

“Bright blue napkins carried the colour theme through and created a base for the pretty little name place cards. These, along with the menu cards, had an intricate Spanish fan on the edge with an orange flower, which played on the Spanish wedding theme and really opened my eyes to how stationery can play a large part in styling.
