Modern Wedding Styling at East Crossing

This modern wedding styling at East Crossing is so delightful. Although the concept is very modern and clean it’s whimsical at the same time. The styling team have been very creative with the decor details, making the styling very chic.

An abundance of gold throughout the styling gives an opulent feel, from the cutlery to the candlesticks, gold rimmed glasses and cute votives. The additional of daring black chairs and deep purple candles works so well with the table styling.

Relaxed Wedding Styling

The styling team also created a lovely seating area. A great place for wedding guests to chill out, a styled seating area is also a wonderful place for photo opportunities. For this concept two wood and rattan chairs accompany a gorgeous green velvet chair and vintage glass table with gold legs.

The overall feel of this wedding styling at East Crossing is very relaxed. In addition to the minimalistic tablescape and chill out seating area there’s a wonderful cocktail bar, a trend that’s becoming more and more popular at weddings, with bride and groom cocktail choices.

However, for me the standout element of this wedding styling is the modern honeycomb effect wooden backdrop. Used for both the ceremony backdrop and the wedding cake display, it shows how versatile a backdrop can be. The honeycomb effect inspired the detailing on the wedding cake and the cute iced biscuits too.

Finally, romantic white and green florals adorn the venue and look spectacular in the bridal bouquet against the bride’s sleeved wedding dress.

I absolutely love these modern wedding styling details, and I hope these pictures give you lots of ideas for your own wedding.

‘Concrete Opulence’ Industrial Wedding Styling

With a wintery feel throughout, this ‘Concrete Opulence’ styled wedding shoot is moody and edgy. Inspired by the sparkling ‘Gaia’ wedding dress by Brooke Tyson Ritual, this shoot styled by Elizabeth Jean Weddings combines industrial grit with opulent accents.

The dark, ambient styling has a romantic feel with a modern twist. With a very minimalist vibe, it focuses on the florals and wedding dress, so there are no elaborate tablescapes needed. A simple set up of beautiful dark tableware, rustic napkins and amazing florals adorn the tables, with THE most incredible rose gold anthuriums amongst the lush foliage of the displays.

The raw concrete surroundings of the venue allow the ‘Gaia’ wedding dress to glimmer and shine. Handcrafted with evening weddings under lights or sparkling in the sunshine in mind, it’s intricately beaded and sequinned. With a beautifully relaxed fit and front opening, this versatile dress can also turn into a robe with the perfect size train trailing behind. Full bell sleeves with scalloped detailing add to the luxurious feel.

I really am so in love with this wedding dress. In fact, I’m in love with this whole shoot and its dark hues and moody vibe. These pictures taken by the talented Brooke and Gina of The Virtue say it all…

Industrial style wedding ceremony in The Standard in Knoxville

An Industrial Themed Styled Wedding Shoot

Bride touching groom's face

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a wedding in a warehouse? Well, it would be REALLY cool, as today’s industrial themed wedding shoot shows. Having such an open space means you have a blank canvas to style as you like, giving you total freedom to think outside the box.

For this inspirational wedding shoot, the creative team kept with the industrial theme and styled the space with an eclectic mix of props – metal grid backdrop, metallic painted bottles, glass baubles filled with wire cuttings – and these were complemented by amazing floral displays.

If you have never thought about a warehouse wedding, we hope this shoot inspires you…

“The location for our shoot was The Standard in Knoxville, a brand new event venue with an industrial atmosphere which set the scene perfectly. Krystal Whitney Events coordinated the shoot partnering with Melissa Timm who created the floral accents.

“Our bride’s dress was custom made by Colleen of White Orchard Bridal, who also handmade the hair accessory, provided the jewellery and did the hair and make-up. I created the stationery myself, borrowed a lot of the props from my parent’s garage, and some were built by my husband.

“I’d worked with Izzy Hudgins in the past so I knew our photography styles would complement each other. The eclectic mix of imagery was created by Izzy shooting using film and toy cameras, whilst I shot digitally.”
