A Garden Wedding at Home with Two Ceremonies

Leanne and Nick enjoyed a magnificent wedding with the reception in the garden of their own beautiful home in Romford, Essex. The couple chose the Orangery at Langtons House for their legal wedding ceremony, which was the start of their garden affair.

I love the walled garden Leanne walked through with her maids and her dad on her arm, up to the doors of the orangery where a grinning Nick greeted her. Their ceremony was a small affair with just a few guests, as they then had a second ceremony back at their home.

They hired a huge marquee for the garden, with everything styled by the very talented bride herself. Leanne’s colour palette of soft pinks and white looked amazing against the backdrop of the marquee. The flowers are a real focal point of this wedding, with Leanne’s beautiful bridal bouquet of hydrangea, freesia, astilbe, esperance pearl and eucalyptus the star of the show. It must have smelt divine!

If you’re planning a marquee wedding then take a look at this beautiful styling. Leanne’s choice of black chairs to contrast the white and pink looks so good. She kept the styling simple and pretty, with small pink vases of flowers and candles on the tables, and Chinese fortune cookies as favours.

Leanne wore a pretty ivory wedding dress with scalloped edge keyhole back, and teamed this up with a swanky pair of Jenny Packham shoes. Her bridesmaid dresses are really gorgeous, in muted pink with intricate hand-beaded detail.

Leanne and Nick’s relaxed and informal wedding has a great upbeat vibe. Enjoy pinning your favourite wedding ideas from this country garden wedding, captured by Danielle Smith Photography.

We Just Decided to Do It

“Nick and I met many years ago when we were in our teens. Nick was a friend of my brother and I was in a nightclub when I saw a group of my brother’s friends. I went over to say hi and that’s when I met Nickā€¦ the rest is history as they say. We were friends for a while, and being so young didn’t want to commit, but before we knew it we realised we had barely spent a day apart.

“Our engagement wasn’t a big thing as we’d been together for over 10 years, so we had discussed it a few times. We just decided to do it!”

Simple, Romantic Garden Wedding Inspiration

I’m so in love with today’s romantic garden wedding inspiration shoot… it’s making me long for summer when we can enjoy the outdoors and al fresco dining! These simple styling ideas for an elegant garden party are so dreamy; I just know you will love them as much as I do.

To start with the colours are divine. The combination of loads of different shades of green with pretty peach and white instantly evokes thoughts of the great outdoors. The floral design is stunning, from the extraordinary oversized bridal bouquet hand tied with a peach silk ribbon, to the beautiful blooms that are the focal point of the table design. To me, these flowers are the epitome of long lazy days in the sunshine, and are just perfect for a garden wedding.

The tablescape is elegant and romantic, styled with contemporary striped table runners laid across the table to create each individual place setting. Finished with a marble charger, elegant china and a sage green napkin laid with an individual flower, it’s simple elegance at its best!

The bridal style is once again elegant and chic in keeping with the concept. I’ve fallen in love with this wedding dress ‘Jaymes’ by Alexandra Grecco – it’s the perfect balance of sophisticated and sexy. It features a deep V-neckline that is perfectly mirrored in the back.

Beautifully captured by the talented Christine Gosch, the whole design is perfectly simple and unfussy, yet classic and romantic too. Here’s to pretty summer garden weddings!

Beautiful Elements

“Melanie of Mayhar deigns curated the perfect garden wedding inspiration shoot for The Living Room Workshop by Michelle Boyd.

“With differing hues of greens and a pop of fair peach, this shoot included so many beautiful elements. There was a perfect marriage of elegant and modern fashion, a marvellous cake, and a picturesque backdrop of the gardens of Barr Mansion in Austin, Texas. Styling details included fabulous jewellery, fresh fruit, and an understated invitation suite. The florals tied everything together to make for a simple yet romantic end to our time together.”

A Handmade, Vintage Styled Wedding in Lancashire

Jessica and Antony had a clear vision of how they wanted their wedding day, and they created the most beautiful vintage styled wedding. Every aspect of this wedding was handmade or upcycled, which saved them a fortune (although it meant many weekends rummaging at car boot sales!).

We love the decor; the cute handmade bunting with gypsophila between the flags at the entrance to the church looks amazing, and the abundance of pretty vintage crockery and jugs used as the table decor and the beautiful handmade seating plan in the old frame all bring this vintage styled wedding together perfectly.

Jessica’s wedding dress is just stunning and looks incredible with the beaded vintage style cape. The beautiful bridesmaid dresses in sage and blush pink really complemented her dress too.

If you are planning a vintage wedding then you’ll get loads of inspiration from Jessica and Antony’s day, captured perfectly by Delicious Photography…

Handmade or Upcycled

“All our decor was either handmade or upcycled, and most was a result of my mother in law’s creative eye and amazing skills. I knew exactly what I wanted and was very particular about it being perfect. We didn’t have a big budget but luckily we had time, so most weekends were spend in charity shops, goose clearance shops and hundreds of trips to various car boot sales throughout Lancashire!”

Emotional

“A lady who used to own a florists in Ramsbottom arranged my flowers. They were perfect – exactly what I wanted. When she turned up with the flowers she thought I didn’t like them due to my overly emotional response. However, that was due to my chief bridesmaid having just given me a beautiful gift of two pin on brooches for my flowers, with a picture of my gran and nana who are no longer with us.
