Modern Foliage and Copper Wedding Styling

Foliage and copper are two of my absolute favourite wedding styling concepts, and fill me with such joy when teamed together! They are both still massive wedding trends that are showing no signs of disappearing for 2019. Led by Emily Andrew Events, the creative team for this shoot wanted to put a different spin on a foliage and copper wedding theme and show some fresh inspiration to brides. This warm, inviting, modern and romantic styling shows how to incorporate these two elements in a stylish, timeless way.

Enjoy these oh-so-elegant styling ideas, captured beautifully by Tatum Reid Photography…

Foliage Garland and Copper Buckets

“I styled two tablescapes for our sweetheart table. The first included a foliage garland of eucalyptus, sprigs of gypsophila sprayed copper and fronds of fern for texture. I then peppered this with lots of little tea lights and votives in copper and glass. Glass bottles filled with sprigs of foliage holding tall white tapered candles added a finishing touch to the garland.

“The place settings featured glass sheet menus written in copper ink, copper pipe place names and copper cutlery. Earthenware plates added an edgy tone to the table, and green napkins and ribbons around the cutlery finished each setting.

Copper and Botanical Wedding Styling

Botanical wedding styling is one of our favourite trends. Swapping traditional floral arrangements for beautiful succulents and lush foliage helps achieve a fresh, modern take on rustic décor.

Another big wedding styling trend is metal – lots of metal. Rose gold, copper, pewter… it’s all on trend right now. Mix these two together and you get the most incredible, beautiful, modern wedding styling.

Amanda Karen Photography’s pictures of this copper and botanical wedding shoot are fabulous. The creative team has created such a visual delight with these ideas, and the colour palette of green and copper is so modern and has a real sense of luxury…

Urban Luxury

“With this styled shoot we wanted to show modern brides how they can have a luxurious wedding in a more urban/industrial setting. Brides are so used to seeing huge manor houses or wistful garden locations for this look, but we wanted to show how it can also work in a really urban location such as a Central London bar. The Refinery by Drake and Morgan was the perfect fit.

“We wanted copper as the main metal because couples frequently ask how how to incorporate the copper trend. The succulents were important too, to soften the masculine edge that copper can bring to a tablescape.”

Flash Green Wedding Styling Ideas Mood Board

Flash Green Wedding Styling Ideas

Another of the Pantone colours for 2016 is Flash Green, and this is an amazing colour for weddings in all seasons.

“Green Flash calls on its wearer to explore, push the envelope and escape the mundane, radiating an openness that combines with the rest of the palette in unexpected but serendipitous ways. The popularity of this brilliant hue is representative of nature’s persistent influence even in urban environments, a trend continuing to inspire designers.”

Using this bright green gives such a vibrant, happy feel to wedding styling. It’s almost apple green, but of course other varying shades will work just as well. We love the idea of using an abundance of foliage within your wedding styling, and how about some beautiful green glass bottles or even glasses? If you want to inject a whimsical element you could use giant green balloons.

Here are some of our favourite ideas for flash green wedding styling.

Fir Tree Foliage Winter Wedding Styling Mood Board

Fir Tree Foliage Winter Wedding Styling

If you are having a winter wedding, using fir tree, Christmas tree or conifer in your wedding decor will look incredible. With its deep green tones, foliage will add depth and luxury to your wedding styling, and, of course, will look fabulous for a Christmas wedding.

As it is so versatile you can use fir tree foliage in your wedding bouquet, table place names, chair decor and table decorations. The other great thing about using foliage is that you can source it yourself, meaning you will be able to save a lot of money!
