‘Heaven Meets Earth’ Winter Wedding Styling

With striking blue hues and celestial details including eye-catching galaxy prints, these ‘Heaven Meets Earth’ winter wedding styling ideas are truly gorgeous.

Celestial details are still a big trend, and the dark, bold colours and silvery hints create the perfect colour combination. Although styled here for a winter wedding, you could use these ideas for a wedding in any season.

Full of lush florals and whimsical ideas, I love the way that the styling team took the concept and adapted it for three unique types of bride. The result is both styling and bridal ideas that you can adapt for your own personal style. Crystal crowns, bright red lips, and side-swept hair make for three distinctly dreamy bridal looks.

Flooded with natural light, Greenhouse Two Rivers in Missouri is the perfect blank canvas, and these modern, romantic styling ideas come to life inside the venue’s glass walls. I adore the large foliage chandeliers suspended from the ceiling; so simple yet so heavenly.

Couples looking for ceremony backdrop inspiration will love the elegantly draped ceremony arch decorated with elegant florals that takes centre stage in the ceremony area. The dining table is beautiful yet simple, with gorgeous blue fabric table runner and matching napkins, floral designs and pretty glassware.

The pièce de résistance of this shoot though has to be the incredible wedding cake. Its unmistakable galaxy print, striking teal-blue hue and rough edges make it the perfect choice for a wedding with a celestial vibe.

I hope this styled shoot serves as refreshing inspiration for overlapping themes; heaven with earth, bold with simple. Enjoy these beautiful pictures capture by Sarah Jane Photography…

Celestial with Natural

“The organic beauty of the earth and heavens inspired this wedding shoot, where we wanted to combine the celestial with the natural.

“Using similar pieces we created unique looks and movements for our three distinct brides, showcasing how to utilise similar features in multiple ways. In the end, we gathered all three brides to show how their styles intertwine.”

Navy, Burgundy and Gold Winter Wedding Styling

Happy Christmas Eve! It’s the most magical time of the year, and today I have this magical winter wedding inspiration for you. Wren Photography has captured the ambiance of this navy, burgundy and gold winter wedding shoot so perfectly.

These romantic styling ideas feature many floral elements. From the fabulous floral stationery with burgundy roses, navy envelopes and beautiful gold calligraphy lettering, to the wonderful bridal bouquet, table centrepieces, and floral hoop wreath elegantly hung above the inviting fire. The fire, candles, blankets and rich berry tones create a cosy winter vibe which you can easily recreate for your own magical winter wedding.

Following the floral elements, the bride wears an incredible wedding dress adorned with silvery flowers which glisten in the light. To complete her look, a faux fur wrap is perfect for this snowy setting of WIllowbrook Mill, Michigan.

I love a wedding where the food almost takes centre-stage, and the food here looks magnificent. Such a feast, perfect for a cold winter’s day.

So, grab a glass of mulled wine (it’s Christmas Eve after all) and enjoy these wonderful ideas for a navy, burgundy and gold winter wedding.

Merry Christmas x

Cosy Fireplaces and Nostalgic Charm

“I love a good winter wedding. The cosy romance, an adventurous couple, and the pristine landscape create a completely different vibe to summer soirées. So, when Jen from Wren Photography suggested we put together a styled shoot to inspire more winter weddings in northern Michigan, I jumped at the chance.

“It turned out the fireside lounge, cable knit blankets and rich berry tone palette on our Pinterest board were just the beginning. Jen suggested we find a couple to actually get married at the styled shoot. They would invite guests and enjoy all the goodness of fireside blankets and berry-inspired dining.

“We reached out to Mimi from Willowbrook Mill, whose venue in Northport has three cosy fireplaces and nostalgic charm off the charts.

“Holly Thomas Design sent over the most stunning invitation suite in rich burgundies, navy, and gold calligraphy. I then talked to Jen at Grandview Catering about our vision of comfort food with a gourmet twist, and mentioned our berry tone palette. She sent me a mouth-watering menu that not only took comfort food to a new level, but also entrées and winter vegetable hash that became focal points in the table decor. The artistic presentation of pistachio crusted lamb chops was perfection between the taper candles, red wine, and the protea in Rory’s glorious centrepiece.

“Watercolour brie and fig macarons served as amuse-bouche place cards, detailed with guest names in gold calligraphy. We then used linens, candles, cross back chairs and lounge furniture, flowers and snowshoes to pull the whole look together.

“Our models JP and his gorgeous girlfriend Katie added the romance to every scene we assembled, and Lakeshore diamond rings and a fur stole completed the look with a touch of glam.”

Winter Wedding Styling at Breckenridge Distillery

Any wedding that starts with ‘take a shot and take a seat’ gets my vote, and I certainly give a great big vote to this uber-cool winter styled shoot at Breckenridge Distillery, Colorado.

Created to showcase the flexibility of Breckenridge Distillery, this shoot shows what an awesome space it is for weddings. The creative team decided on a winter wedding theme, and a lot of winter weddings feature a colour palette of reds, silver and gold… but not this one! This winter styling has a vibrant colour scheme with a plethora of cool styling details.

The colour concept of muted pinks and purples with pops of blue looks fabulous, especially in the floral arrangements. Beautiful florals feature heavily, from the bridesmaid’s most astonishing floral necklace, to the fun tassel-tied bouquets and the wedding cake with sugar flowers. Even the wedding stationery has a floral theme in keeping with the styling.

Quirky Styling

There are also many quirky styling ideas, such as the Cigar and Whisky Bar, ceremony backdrop of coloured tassels with flowers above, Macramé and floral decorated chairs and quirky signs. These ideas are just part of what makes this shoot such fun, and would be perfect for a relaxed wedding.

Of course, the great thing about having your wedding in a distillery is that the main decor is already there in the form of the barrels and bar. The styling team gave a nod to the surroundings with the inclusion of the whisky bar ‘Take a Shot and Take a Seat’ sign I mentioned before.

The bride and groom’s styling matches the relaxed, cool ambience. I love the bride’s long sleeved lace top and full length pink tulle skirt, and her style complements the groom’s relaxed look of chinos and tweed waistcoat.

Everything about this winter wedding styling at Breckenridge Distillery is beautiful and fun. I’m getting a little excited about winter now after seeing the pictures of the couple in the snow at the end of the shoot. Castorina Photography and Films has captured every detail so beautifully…

A Twist on Typical Winter Weddings

“I am obsessed with cool blue hues winter. I had a desire to provide wedding inspiration for winter brides who need a fresh, light-hearted twist on the typical winter wedding. Brides who are getting married in the winter, but don’t want to incorporate the usual ‘Christmas-like’ reds, burgundy, greens, and gold.

An Opulent Styled Wedding Shoot with Shades of Blue

Bride with hand on groom's shoulder

You are going to adore the pictures from today’s really beautiful opulent styled wedding shoot from Jude Middleton Photography. Recently we featured the Shades of Chic Styled Wedding Shoot which took place in the daytime, and today we are delighted to be featuring the incredible evening shoot.

With tones of midnight blue and copper, a stunning wedding dress, exquisite glassware and an opulent wedding cake, we hope you get loads of inspiration for your own wedding from these pictures.

“For this shoot I wanted to create a rich and opulent look, using shades of midnight blue, indigo and navy to create a deep, inky backdrop with luxurious and on-trend copper details.

“Floribunda Rose created a statement floral display using romantic roses, copper and blue foliage for a dramatic centrepiece, complemented with navy sequin linens and an array of glamorous gilded crockery and glassware. We used a deep and moody stationery suite with inky watercolours and copper calligraphy, and we hung copper tags from navy ribbons to create an alternative seating chart display. Our wonderfully opulent cake matched, with its bold blue willow design on the bottom tier and oversized sugar flowers adorning the top.

“Our bride wore a suitably dramatic midnight blue ball gown with black lace detailing, accessorised with an inky blue headpiece and jewellery. I wanted to create a sleek evening look for our bridesmaid, who wore an oversized bow headpiece, and both girls were given an elegant hair and make-up look.”
