Alan Hannah Moonshadow 2020 Bridal Collection

Today I’d like to introduce you to the beautiful 2020 bridal collection from Alan Hannah – ‘Moonshadow’. The new collection sees boned corsets forming traditional, timeless silhouettes alongside more modern elements such as lace sleeves, keyhole bodices and feathered details.

Renowned for producing the highest quality of cuts in time enduring, classic and understated designs, designer Marguerite Hannah describes the new collection as “a labour of love”…

“The focus of the Alan Hannah Moonshadow 2020 collection is on timeless elegance and the evolution of cut. I wanted two looks which you could think of as oppositional but in fact work to create a lovely harmony. Sculptural structured dresses in Mikado and satin have a geometric simplicity with beautiful corsetry and boning. When this ethos is translated to softer fabrics like crepe and tulle the theme is seamless, but the softer fabrics move the collection to a subtly different place with the structure intact but softened by layering and fluidity which gives a real breadth to the collection.”

Marguerite’s creative development shines through each one of these new designs. Understated and effortlessly glamorous, the structured shapes create dresses with a magical essence.

One thing I particularly like about the Alan Hannah Moonshadow 2020 collection is the inclusion of bow detail on some of the designs, from traditional bows on the back of dresses to shoulder bow detail. Here are three of my favourite styles which include bows…

Alan Hannah Veritas 2018 Bridal Collection

The incredible new Alan Hannah Veritas 2018 collection launched at White Gallery London in May. The collection came to light on the catwalk, and viewers swooned over the beautiful wedding dresses… I can see why!

I adore this new Alan Hannah collection for 2018, mostly because there are some really unique styles and shapes for the new season. The Veritas collection sees slim crepe dresses alongside full dresses adorned with fine beading and hand-painted flowers.

“2018 will see a return to sophisticated structural silhouettes, both in full skirted ballgowns and column dresses like Lilith and Dorothea. Fabrics will reflect this, with favourites of ours being Japanese Mikado and Duchesses satin, and for softer lines, silk georgette and organza. Embellishment is subtle and natural with freshwater pearls and floral motifs. Other trends include softer, unstructured crepe and soft satin dresses with interesting details, soft asymmetrical panels, bows, and frills on sleeves and skirts.” – Alan Hannah

Enchanted Garden (pictured above) is my absolute favourite dress from the Veritas 2018 collection. A spectacular dress with scores of tiny embroidered flowers and strong hues of blue and purple, it epitomises femininity.

There are some unique styles in this new collection, so if you are looking for something a little different then how about these stunners…

Bridal jumpsuits are hot right now, and Una by Alan Hannah is amazing. Not only does it feature the keyhole bodice, it also has trendy cold-shoulder billowing sleeves gathered in a long, buttoned cuff. This is a very trendy bridal jumpsuit.
