Who is/are Your Perfect Day and what do you do?
Your Perfect Day is Richard and Alan. We produce exciting, innovative and creative Wedding DVD’s and video. Your Perfect Day has over ten years experience in this ever evolving, innovative and creative industry. Throughout our careers filming weddings and in video and DVD production, we believe we have proven ourselves to be extremely dedicated and professional. We only use state of the art techniques, from the equipment used to film the wedding to the software used for the eventual product – a totally unique personalised wedding keepsake. The quality of our work speaks for itself, in fact we set the standards that other companies rarely achieve using this incredible medium!
How did Your Perfect Day get started and how long has the business been going?
We’ve been filming weddings for 10 years. Alan and I are long term friends, both having worked in film and animation before turning our skills and keen eyes on the Wedding video market.
What areas of the UK do you cover? Do you travel internationally?
We cover Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and beyond. An international wedding is high on our wanted list for sure!
What sets Your Perfect Day apart from other wedding videographers?
We provide a friendly and fun service. Filming weddings is our livelihood and for that reason alone we are totally professional in every aspect of what we do, rather than earning a little extra pocket money. This is our business and our passion!
What’s the best thing about the job?
Producing something that people become emotional about every time they watch it. Weddings are happy days…we like happy days!
Why should couples consider having a wedding video?
Time and time again we hear that a couple’s only regret is not having their wedding filmed. For those who do, they tell us it’s worth every penny. They get to see so much of their big day that they never knew about. They can re-live the memories of their biggest day ever, time and time again.
What parts of the wedding day do you film?
Start to finish or whatever suits the bride and groom. We can also film online wedding ‘save the date’ invites which are becoming popular.
Do you have a favourite wedding you have filmed (If you can choose!)?
We have many favourites for so many different reasons so it’s hard to choose just one; fireworks or lanterns are always a winner. But if I had to choose, it would be Laura and Rob’s wedding; the poem Laura’s brother wrote about the couple is simply beautiful.
Random question…Who’s your favourite film star?
George Clooney or Brad Pitt in the Oceans films.
What are your top tips for choosing a wedding videographer?
Make sure you can communicate with them; after all, your videographer is one of the people who are likely to be at your wedding day the longest. Also make sure you see THEIR own work and DON’T just book based on the price.
