Kylie and Neil’s wedding, photographed by Gareth Squance Photography, is our August Wedding of the Month on The Wedding Community (click the link to read their story). Following a church ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Northill, Bedfordshire, the wedding celebrations moved on to South Farm in Royston, a working farm that is a beautifully unique venue. With the help of their friends, Kylie and Neil created a wedding that was just perfect for the country surroundings.
“We chose South Farm as our venue, a small working farm with pigs, chickens, doves and peacocks; a beautiful unique venue. The venues’ food is amazing and we had a gorgeous hog roast during the day and beef rolls at night! The flowers were a gorgeous vintage style, we had hessian table runners and enamel jugs, and country style signs and chalkboards. We made everything with the help of our fiends and managed to have 240 people in total, which we were so happy about; we did not want anyone to be left out!
“We had a fingerprint tree which is in a frame in our bedroom, a photo booth, and our guest book was fabric squares which I have made into a quilt. We had a sweet stand instead of favours and used money we would have spent on favours to make more of the entertainment; a jazz band during the day, a balloon modeller for the children, a magician for the adults, and a Blues Brothers Band in the evening. Nobody missed the favours and all the sweets went!”
